Gorontalo: Representatives of the People's Consultative Assembly - Republic of Indonesia (MPR-RI) visited the Academic Community of Gorontalo State University, Thursday (6/5). The visit was represented by the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR-RI, Dr. H. Syariefuddin Hasan, M.M., M.B.A., in order to absorb the aspirations of thoughts related to State Policy Guidelines (GBHN) and State Administration.

Syariefuddin revealed that the visit was in a series of discussions about the discourse on the amendment of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, especially regarding the revival of GBHN and other issues related to state administration.

"We received a recommendation from the previous MPR-Ri leadership to conduct an in-depth study to revive the GBHN. To absorb the aspirations of the U.N.G. Academic Community, the MPR-RI held this discussion," he said.

According to Syariefuddin, the views of higher education academics such as U.N.G. are essential for the MPR-RI in reviving the GBHN.

"Later, the MPR-RI will accommodate all views conveyed by the U.N.G. Academic Community. To then choose the best alternative whether to turn on the GBHN or turn it on sufficiently through law or inclusion in the 1945 Constitution," he explained.

Meanwhile, UNG Rector Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, S.T, M.T., said that the discussion attended by the leaders of the MPR-RI was essential to provide an overview so that future dynamic movements could be more in line with the expected direction and goals.

"Take advantage of this opportunity so that complaints related to obstacles can be aspirated, because after all, those who are present amid the UNG Academic Community are People's Representatives," concluded Eduart. (Wahid)
