GORONTALO – Three students from the Faculty of Education (FIP) will study in Slovakia’s university in Central Europe from March 1 to May 31 2024. The chance of going into the university is confirmed after being awardee of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility scholarship.

The students are Jessia Ruth Claudia Tupamahu of the Elementary Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), Rizka Imroatun Fadhilah of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BK), and Arthika Rahmawati Ilam of the Early Childhood Teacher Education Study Program (PGPAUD).

FIP Dean Prof. Dr. Arwildayanto, M.Pd., said that the Erasmus+ scholarship will allow FIP students to have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and abilities by studying at overseas campus. Also, all costs will be covered by the University of Trnava, and this program will last for approximately three months.

"This is the second period that FIP students have received the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility scholarship. In the first period, only two students are granted the scholarship, and thank God, we got three in this second period," said Prof. Arwil when sending off three Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program students on Monday (26/2) in the FIP Budaya Building Hall.

He explained that before leaving, the students had been given coaching which covered several aspects such as dealing with extreme weather, religious differences, how to dress, how to behave and others.

UNG Vice Rector III for Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamad Amir Arham, M.E., expressed his appreciation to FIP, which continues to consistently send its students to be involved in the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program. Amir hopes that student participation in this program can continue to be sustainable, and can motivate other departments and faculties.

"We hope that this program will be sustainable, so other departments and faculties can follow this achievement, because one of our visions is an international cooperation program. So, it is not just an MoU, but we can immediately implement it," he said. (**)
