GORONTALO – In preparing the representative team to face the National University Debating Championship (NUDC) competition, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo carried out a selection by holding the 2024 university level NUDC on Tuesday (27/2).

According to the 2024 UNG NUDC committee chairperson, Titien Fatmawaty Mohammad, S.Pd, M.App Ling, NUDC at the University level is a competition where 22 teams from all faculties compete to show their best. 

"Apart from being a forum for student competition through English debate, the university's NUDC will select the best students as UNG representatives in competitions at regional and national levels later," said Titien.

According to Titien, the University level competition was held to attract the best students who have the spirit of debating competition, and have foreign language skills as representatives of UNG at regional and national levels. Apart from English language skills, the assessment includes students’ critical thinking in responding to an issue and the methods used when debating.

Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs Prof. Dr. Muhamad Amir Arham, ME., reckoned that the NUDC competitions in university level continues to improve, so he hopes to have the best students selected who will demonstrate their ability to bring achievements to the UNG as a community campus. (**)
