Gorontalo: Gorontalo State University is the only university in Eastern Indonesia that can take part in the IEF (International Education Fair) 2021 in Kazakhstan.

Vice-Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Dr. Phil. Ikhfan Haris, M.Sc., said that IEF 2021 is an online and offline education exhibition organized by the Bolashaq Development Fund Non-Governmental Organization engaged in education in Kazakhstan. Online exhibitions are held in March and April 2021, while an on-site exhibition in Kazakhstan is planned for the end of 2021.

"UNG presented the university profile and UNG international programs at the exhibition. Each faculty and the technical unit also explained their programs. A consultation session for visitors about study opportunities at UNG was opened after the program presentation", he explained.

Ikhfan said that the aim of UNG to participate in the IEF 2021 event is as a form of promotion of UNG to the international world, especially in the Central Asia region. UNG is facilitated by the Indonesian Embassy in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan, where the costs of participating in the IEF are borne by the Indonesian Embassy in Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan

Furthermore, Prof. Karmila Machmud, Ph.D., who represented UNG in the live presentation, said: "We hope that through IEF 2021, it will attract foreign matriculants in Central Asian countries to continue their education at Gorontalo State University, both in undergraduate, master, and doctoral programs."

IEF 2021, which will be held from March 25 to April 3, is the largest education exhibition in Central Asia in 2021, involving 500 universities in the world as participants.
