GORONTALO - The efforts to realize the Gorontalo National Geopark are intensively carried out by the Gorontalo Provincial Government and continue to receive support from various parties. One of the supports for the realization of the Geopark comes from the Gorontalo State University.

Rector of UNG Dr. Eduart Wolok, S.T, M.T, said that as one of the state universities in Gorontalo, UNG continues to consistently support the national Geopark as an effort to improve the economic sector of the Gorontalo community.

"Since the beginning of the proposal, UNG has become one of the institutions that cannot be separated from the Provincial Government to continue to encourage and oversee the realization of the National Gorontalo Geopark," said the Rector when giving a speech at the National dialogue on sustainable development "development of tourism and the creative economy: towards the National Gorontalo Geopark".

The development of the Gorontalo National Geopark has a great opportunity because Gorontalo has enormous potential to make it happen. Gorontalo has a tourism sector that can support national geoparks and support a variety of creative economies generated by the community.
