To realize Tomini Bay as the first rural-based Special Economic Zone (KEK) in Indonesia, the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration with Gorontalo State University will hold a Tomini Bay Regional Meeting on 12-13 June 2021 in Gorontalo.
Rector of the State University of Gorontalo Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, ST., MT., Said the timing of the Tomini Bay Regional Meeting was based on the results of a joint committee meeting with the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration on Friday (28/5).
"The Regional Meeting which will take place on June 12-13 will involve the Regional Government in the Tomini Bay Area and is titled Revitalizing the Tomini Bay Area for Rural Economic Development and Investment," he said.
The Rector added that 4 Governors, 26 Heads of Our Regions and Regencies throughout Tomini Bay and North Maluku, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Tomini Bay Regional Meeting.
"The Tomini Bay Regional Meeting will be opened by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prof. Dr. K.H. Ma'ruf Amin and will be attended by the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Areas and Transmigration, Dr. (Hc) Abdul Halim Iskandar, M.Pd., Chairman of the Indonesian Financial Audit Agency, Dr. Agung Firman Sampurna, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Drs. H. Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar., M.Sc. ", he concluded.
Held by Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Gorontalo and supported by ten universities as co-hosts and an organisation.
