The 2022 Literature and Arts Competition (Sastrani) is an event to show the literary and artistic skills of students from the faculty of Letters and culture. In the competition held by Yogyakarta State University (UNY), faculty of Letters and culture student representatives succeeded in making achievements for ten branches of the competition.

The achievements obtained are the first and third place in the women's dangdut competition, the third place in the male dangdut competition, the second place in the male keroncong competition, the second place in the women's keroncong competition, the third place in the men's seriosa competition, the second place in the women's pop competition, and the third winner poetry reading competition, the third and sixth place winners in the short story writing competition.

According to the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni FSB Jafar Lantowa, S.Pd., M.A, student participation in national level competitions is an opportunity to show their talents and abilities in the fields of literature and art.

"The results that have been obtained certainly cannot be separated from the effort and preparation in the form of exercises, which are carried out intensively by students accompanied by supervisors," Djafar said.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the FSB Prof. Dra. Nonny Basalama, M.A., Ph.D, gave his appreciation for the success of her students in presenting achievements in the field of art. This achievement, said Nonny, will be very important in supporting the achievement of the faculty's main performance indicator (IKU) targets.

"God willing, this result can increase the target of IKU achievement, especially in the second point of the IKU, namely the achievements of students at the National level and the third point of the IKU, namely the activeness of lecturers in guiding students to achieve national achievements," she said.
