GORONTALO – The Faculty of Law of UNG received a visit from a special guest, namely the Chief of the Gorontalo District Court (PN) Achmad Peten Sili, S.H., M.H., on Wednesday (31/1). Instead of paying a visit, the Chairman was also in the series of public lectures given to hundreds of UNG Law Faculty students.
In the public lecture held in the UNG rectorate building, Achmad Peten Sili, S.H., M.H., talked a lot about the problems of law enforcement from a legal sociology perspective. He also shared many personal experiences and insights in dealing with legal problems as a judge.
Dean of the Law Faculty, Dr. Weny Almoravid Dungga, SH., MH., said that the public lecture was a mark of the new academic year for the even semester of 2023-2024. It is hoped that the knowledge and experience shared by the Chief will be a meaningful provision for students attending lectures later in the semester.
“This public lecture provides new and highly valuable insight as a law student. We are grateful to the Chief of Gorontalo District Court, who was willing to give a public lecture for UNG students," said Weny.
According to Weny, this public lecture forum is not only a means to exchange ideas and insights but also an inspiration for the younger generation to continue contributing to developing a fairer and better-quality justice system in Indonesia. (**)
