Gorontalo: Gorontalo State University will send students to carry out community service programs. Through the Village Thematic Real Work Lecture Program (Ina: KKN), UNG will go directly to the community to support SDGs achievement in Gorontalo.
The Head of the UNG KKN Center revealed that the Building Village Thematic KKN was a community service program. They were focused on integrated Village development between UNG and the Ministry of Village PDTT program, which LPPM then executed through community service in KKN activities.
"Following the theme, KKNT will build villages in support of the achievement of Sustainable development goals (SDGs)," he said.
At this KKNT program, 160 students are recorded to serve ten villages spread across several regions in Gorontalo Province. Students will conduct a concatenation of KKNT for two months, starting April 5, 2021, to June 5, 2021.
"Each village will have a group consisting of 15 students from several departments. When joining the community, they will also be accompanied by a Field Supervisor," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Harto Malik, M.Hum, hopes that students can participate in all KKNT series well. According to him, one of the essential things when going into society is maintaining the good name of the almamater.
"One way to maintain the good name of the campus is by implementing a good work program and being able to show attitudes and behavior as an educated person," hoped Harto. (Wahid)
