Gorontalo: The Student Achievement Selection Competition (Pilmapres) at the Gorontalo State University, which 12 student representatives from all Faculties attended, has confirmed one of its best students, Muhamad Danial Suma.

Students from the Geological Engineering Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences were the best, ahead of Reza Mohammad from the English Department in second place and Taufiq Qurrohman, the Medical Department, in third place.

For this success, the Vice-Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Karmila Mahmud, M.A, Ph.D., also gave his congratulations and appreciation. She hopes that this achievement can spur motivation to show skills and creativity at the National Pilmapres event, as proven by the achievements.

"To the elected Pilmapres, there is great hope from the Academic Community to be able to bring the name of the UNG at the national level through achievement achievements. Of course, the Student and Alumni Affairs Sector will continue to provide support and assistance in realizing this achievement," said Karmila.

According to him, this year's student achievement is a complete package because it is students who excel in academics and non-academic fields.

"Because the portfolio is the assessment with the highest value. So that the achievements of students both at the National and International levels become very important to support efforts to excel in the National Pilmapres later," she explained.

On this occasion, Karmila asked the participants who had not had the opportunity to appear as champions not to be discouraged. "Participants who participate in the UNG Pilmapres are the best students at UNG, remaining enthusiastic about continuing learning and developing to present achievements for their beloved campus," said Karmila.

Previously, the implementation of the 2021 UNG Pilmapres was attended by 12 students with an assessment process covering three things, namely a portfolio of superior achievements and student achievements, creative ideas expressed in the form of papers, and the presentation stage of the manuscript in English.
