Gorontalo: Gorontalo State University and Gorontalo District Court / Corruption Crime / Gorontalo Class 1A Industrial Relations will cooperate with each other to implement education, research, community service, and institutional strengthening.

The collaboration between the two was realized through signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of UNG Rector Dr. Ir. Eduart Wolok, S.T, M.T, with the Head of Gorontalo District Court / Corruption Crime / Class IA Gorontalo Industrial Relations, Dr. H. Prayitno Iman Santosa, S.H, M.H.

In his speech, UNG Rector Dr. Ir. H. Eduart Wolok, S.T, M.T, said he was happy with this ceremony. The MoU with a legal institution is essential to determine the implementation of the knowledge gained in class and not just wander.

"This kind of cooperation which is realized through internships at related institutions indirectly helps shape the preparation of the character of our students," said the Rector.

According to him, this cooperation will become a bridge between campus obtained and the realization in the community. Thus, it will foster student’s readiness to contribute to the field of law in society.

"Over time, this collaboration access can develop according to the needs and future development. So that the two institutions can complement each other to strengthen and develop the institution," the Rector hoped.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Gorontalo District Court/Corruption Crimes/Gorontalo Industrial Relations Class 1A, Dr. H. Prayitno Iman Santosa, S.H, M.H, hopes that collaboration with UNG can be a way to bring the academic world and the world of practitioners closer.

"Hopefully, we can learn a lot from the Lecturers at UNG, and vice versa from UNG, especially the Faculty of Law. We need trial facts that we have because we are very open to it, of course," he concluded. (Wahid)
