Gorontalo: The implementation of the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) has ended as the winners of each competition are announced. Even though it has finished, the Vice Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Karmila Mahmud, M.A, Ph.D., hopes that MTQ doesn't just end in ceremonial activities.
"Don't let it be done as a ceremonial because euphoria shouldn't be the main thing. But more than that, MTQ must be a place to spread and preach the truth about our holy Al-Qur'an in the campus environment," said Karmila.
According to her, student participation means that they participate in conveying the message as well as preaching. "The entire Khalifah can be an example for all students to bring coolness and peace to the UNG Campus," she hoped.
On this occasion, Karmila also congratulated the students who presented as champions in each competition branch that was competed.
"Congratulations on your success in becoming a winner. For those who haven't won, don't be discouraged because there are still other opportunities and learn from this failure to achieve success in the future," she concluded. (Wahid)
