Gorontalo: Visitation of the Deputy for Coordination of Education Quality Improvement and Religious Moderation, Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Affairs (Kemenko PMK) to Gorontalo Province was welcomed by the Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT Perpustakaan) of the State University of Gorontalo. In the Literacy Talk event "Mahasiswa, Literasi dan Indonesia Emas 2045 dalam Buku Jejak sang Guru," UPT Perpustakaan invited the Deputy of Kemenko PMK, Prof. Agus Sartono, as a speaker (Wednesday, 10/3).

Head of UPT Perpustakaan, Dr. Ismet Sulila, said that the event promoted literacy activities for students. "We are committed to participating in encouraging efforts to improve the quality of literacy. Not only literacy but also scientific and technological literacy, including financial and socio-cultural," said Ismet. 

Vice-Chancellor for Students Affairs of UNG, Prof. Karmila Mahmud, welcomed this event and said it is imperative to improve knowledge and skills in this industrial revolution era. "And the library is the right resource to hone those two things," said Karmila.

Students and librarians attended this Literacy Talk. One of the topics discussed in this event was the urgency of early childhood care and health insurance to realize quality human resources. "Health protocols are implemented strictly during the event," concluded Ismet. (**)
