Gorontalo: Director General of Village Administration Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Republic of Indonesia Dr. Yusharto Huntuyungo, M.Pd., supports the Tomini Bay Rural-Based Particular Economic Zone program. His support was conveyed at the Pre Regional Meeting held by Gorontalo State University on Thursday (4/3) at the TC Damhil UNG Hotel. "I want to join in the process of developing the Tomini Bay Special Economic Zone," he said. Yusharto said that the Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Director-General of Village Administration, saw that the Particular Economic Zone, Rural-Based at Tomini Bay is crucial because it was related to rural areas. Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning villages not only regulates villages but also regulates rural areas. Rural areas is an area that includes villages developed in cooperation between villages and fostered by district or city governments that still have villages within their territory. "With this role, it becomes very relevant When we discuss the Development of Particular Economic Zones based on rural areas," he said.
Yusharto believes that the spirit to realize the Tomini Bay Particular Economic Zone is very relevant and very important today. "We are optimistic because the potential of the particular economic zone, which is being initiated now, has various backgrounds like the Rector of UNG has described. It is very open for us to develop", said Yusharto. Developing the Special Economic Zones aims to provide protection for potential and provide convenience to business actors in the Tomini Bay Area. "We hoped that the Tomini Bay area, which is said to have an area of approximately 137,700 km2 with a beach length of about 1350 KM, can be utilized as well as possible", he hoped.
