Gorontalo: The Professional Teacher Education Study Program (PPG), Gorontalo State University, has again produced graduates who will become professional teachers. 143 PPG students, who officially hold the title Professional Teacher, are confirmed through a judicial procession and the inauguration of PPG Professional Teachers in their graduation year 2020 positions, Tuesday (2/3).

Director of PPG UNG Prof. Dr. Nurhayati Abbas M.Pd said that the inaugurated teachers as Professional Teachers were divided into several periods. Thirty-three students for the first and 110 students for the second to the fifth period.

"Students who participate in PPG in this position consist of 5 provinces, namely Papua, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, and Gorontalo," said Prof. Nurhayati.

Prof. Nurhayati explained that PPG is a position held in 2020 is a New PPG; this is because its implementation has a difference with PPG in the previous year. The difference is in two things; namely, after taking part in the deepening of the material, the teachers cannot take PPL 1 if they do not pass the comprehensive test.

"So that the teachers have to try even harder so that they can enter the next stage," she explained.

Furthermore, after completing the PPG learning activity process, one more requirement must be passed is the performance test. One of the conditions is to provide a portfolio in the last two years as a teacher.

"Usually, many of them cannot provide the portfolio. But Alhamdulillah, all those who inaugurated today were able to pass all stages very well. It is a tremendous sacrifice from the professional teachers who are appointed today. Congratulations on today's achievement, " she concluded. (Wahid)
